On-location TV Promotion of a New Concept ‘Hubblo’

Challenge:
Build brand awareness of a new experience we were piloting in which only one person in the organization had witnessed the experience live and which the set and dome arrived the day prior to opening day.

My Actions:
• Due to this unique experience, and our inability to truly advertise the concept in advance of opening day, I decided to utilize a local TV station to help us get the word out. We invited CW33 onsite to be one of the first to experience the concept and gather video footage. They conducted interviews with the team to gather insights on the experience. The video ran on TV during their Inside DFW segment and it was also featured on their website.

Results
• The video helped to get the word out about the Hubblo experience. Ticket sales were low throughout the run of the show; however, of the patrons who did attend approximately 59% were new to file thus giving us new email subscribers to reach out to for future shows.
